Earth Week

Come celebrate Earth Week April 18th-22nd! Go green for a cause. Rosemont College is committed to protecting the campus environment. This week is focused on changes we can make to our every day lives to create a better world. Throughout the week will be informative events and social media postings to keep you updated with facts about Going Green. 
Monday, April 18th
Speaker - Dianna Thompson, Educator at Grumblethorpe (Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks)
  • Initial Reading of the electricity meter, being shown at lunch on projector
  • Location - Library, Reading Room
  • Time - 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Tuesday, April 19th 
 Discussion Group - "Climate Change: How soon will Philadelphia be under water?"
  • Location - Main Building
  • Time - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Thursday - April 21st 
Student Discussion Panel - "The Chesapeake Bay Service Trip: Issues at the Bay" 
  • Location - Main Building
  • Time - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday - April 22nd 
Tree Planting Ceremony
  • Pledge for SUSTAINABILITY led by President Hirsh and Students
  • Location-Main building (on the hill)
  • Time- Noon
Dress Down To Clean Up
  • Between 1:00 and 4:00 PM
  • Staff and students are encouraged to dress down to clean up the campus
  • Pick up a rake in front of Main Building and “rake-up”
Movie Night - "Go Dark at Cardinal"-
  • San Andreas (movie) with popcorn and snacks
  • Final Reading of the electricity meter, being announced at movie night
  • Location - Cardinal Hall, Cafeteria
  • Time - 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM
