"Be yourself, only make that self all that God wants."
-Cornelia Connelly, Foundress of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus
One of the primary goals of Campus Ministry is to develop leadership abilities within students so that they may more fully grow in the gifts that God has given them. We strive to make many of our programs student-run and student-coordinated – after all, when it’s you or your peers planning events or making decisions, they are likely to be all the more enjoyable and meaningful!
We want you to feel empowered to take ownership over existing programs or help develop new ones! Leadership opportunities are available and open throughout the year.

Scholars in Service is a nationally-run program affiliated with AmeriCorps that gives students scholarships and education awards for those who successfully complete the program. Scholars are expected to commit 300 – 450 hours in a year towards doing community service and bringing what they learn from their service back to their college community. Scholars in Campus Ministry dedicated much of their time to working at a service site in Philadelphia while also holding leadership positions in our office, running such programs as the retreats, LOST Weekly Service, and campus-wide events like our MLK Day of Service.
Applications are available towards the end of the year.
Leadership positions are available for our LOST Weekly Service sites and our service immersion trips. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation, running group meetings, leading reflections, and planning logistics. Each position offers different challenges and different rewards, but all give the opportunity to become more intricately involved in living out our mission and helping others to do the same!
On top these standing leadership positions, students are welcome to help run events throughout the year.
We have positions available for students who want to help plan and run our weekend retreats. Leaders will work with the director of campus ministry to plan activities, develop reflections, recruit participants, and ensure that the weekend runs smoothly and is a meaningful experience for all involved. We are looking for students with past retreat experience, but all are welcome to apply!
Applications are available for our Fall Retreat program.
