Earth Week Spring Campus

Earth Week

Roberta Perry - April 18, 2016

In 1970, 20 million Americans mobilized on the first Earth Day. As a result of their actions that first year, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was created and the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts were passed. Today, more than one billion people from 192 countries participate in Earth Day activities. Our observance of Earth Day at Rosemont may seem small in comparison to what the rest of the world may be doing, but if we at Rosemont know anything, it is the POWER of small.

With joy, anxiety, with personal hope and needs, with the pressures of working in or attending college today and envisioning our future, with national and world concerns, with our longing for peace and desire for unity, we come together to share a prayer.

Reflection: Holy Week

Sr. Jeanne - March 22, 2016

Much like us who find people who believe in us when we’re in any need! So let us be with Jesus these last few days before Easter, these last few minutes before the next thing today. Listen to him say, “No one can take you out of my hand, just as no one can take me out of the Father’s hand.” Am I in his hand? How does it feel to be in the Father’s hand? Who might need my hand today? During these days let us reach out for his hand .
