The arts provide the bread and butter to studying and understanding the social and cultural aspects of the world and our place in it. The arts offer a variety of ways to express oneself and think critically, analyze the human experience, and offer solutions to complex problems.
Rosemont College offers both a Bachelor of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The studio art and design program at Rosemont are intended to educate and train prospective artists and designers.
The program of study options for the Bachelor of Art degree includes art therapy preparation, design emphasis, fine art emphasis, and an art certification. The program of study options for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree include preparation for graphic design, interior design, fine art, art therapy preparation, and an art certification.

Art certifications are administered jointly with the Education program in the Undergraduate College. A K-12 Educational Certificate and A Secondary Education Certificate are available for students with a Bachelor of Arts and students with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Students interested in a Bachelor of Arts in studio art and design are able to begin study without submitting a formal portfolio for entrance.
K-12 Education Certification is available for students currently holding a Bachelor
of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. This program is administered jointly
with Education in the Undergraduate College. Students interested in pursuing this
certification are encouraged to meet both with the Chair of Studio Art and the Director
of Teacher Education.
Secondary Education Certification (high school) is also available for students currently pursuing a baccalaureate degree. Students are encouraged to meet with the Director of Teacher Education to ensure they meet all requirements set out by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
