Rosemont College offers twenty-four majors and a number of pre-professional, certifcation, and special programs. Each program includes an in-depth study of a particular area, as well as a breadth of study in the liberal arts.

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting provides a strong foundation in areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost and managerial accounting, auditing, and federal income taxation. Students will undertake all courses required for the Certified Public Accounting Examination in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Without chemistry the world as we know it could very well not exist, we could have never learned how to preserve food, to cure illness, to create vaccines and much more.

The chemistry major at Rosemont provides students with the knowledge necessary to establishing a successful career in a variety of industries and post-graduate study. Students majoring in chemistry are required to take courses including: a year of general chemistry, a year of organic chemistry, analytic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry.

Communication is essential in today’s society. With changes in communication, and shifts toward a digital age, being able to communicate effectively in a variety of platforms is key.

The communications major here at Rosemont is geared toward preparing students for a rapidly changing work environment. Communication courses put a strong emphasis on professional speaking and writing fluency, an understanding of the impact of mass communication, and skills essential for the communications professional.

 The study of literature will forever be a part of the human experience teaching about the lives of others through their creative expression.

The English major here at Rosemont provides students with courses in creative, academic, and professional writing. Students will explore, integrate, and challenge key issues in literature, culture and contemporary society through their study of fiction, drama, poetry, essays, biographies, journals, diaries, and periodicals.

 The Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications program offers students an innovative and rigorous major that trains students in current trends in the disciplines of English and Communications. Students will be exposed to theoretical and practical coursework that will prepare them to write in all media platforms.

The Environmental Studies major emphasizes the role that the liberal arts play in creating a sustainable future. Instead of focusing on particular job skills that are likely to change in the short term, the major helps students develop the master skills necessary to adapt to the rapidly changing demands that our society places on preserving and managing our environment.

The Bachelor of Science in Finance provides a specialization for students who want to pursue graduate studies and/or employment within this field. The major in Finance prepares students to work in the fields of banking, insurance, financial analysis, wealth and investment management, in the government sector: raising and deploying capital, providing support for day-to-day cash management and pension fund support. In addition to meeting the course requirements for each respective major, all students must also fulfill the General Education requirements for the Undergraduate College.

The study of history is invaluable to the understanding of the human experience. According to the American Historical Association, history helps us to understand people and societies, the importance of history in our own lives, moral understanding, identity, and good citizenship.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art believes that art has the ability to tell the stories of the past and uncover its secrets. Looking at the past allows us to look towards the future. Through art history we are able to look at art to determine the symbolism, colors, and materials significant to certain time periods and cultures based on the piece in question.

There is a fundamental shift occurring in the world economy in which there is a movement toward an elimination of barriers to cross-border business, trade, and investment. Advances in technology and telecommunications have increased this interdependence by shrinking distance and allowing for an interdependent world economy., known as globalization. The International Business program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to succeed in this changing world economy.

Philosophy asks fundamental questions about reality, knowledge, and values: What is the ultimate nature of reality? Is ultimate reality knowable? What do we mean by ‘knowledge’ or ‘truth,’ and what are the conditions for knowing anything? Is there an ultimate Good for human beings, and if so, how do we come to know it? How should we live our lives?

The political science program provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective leaders in an increasingly global society.

The major develops students’ analytic and communication skills, and offers students coursework in the United States and international politics, creating well rounded graduates. The political science program offers a pre-law certificate for majors and non-majors. With the certificate program, students will develop the skills necessary to become productive lawyers and leaders in the political field.

Psychology is ever present in today's society from marketing and business to criminology. According to the Kenya Psychological Association, psychology is used to help predict future behaviors, and explain behaviors using theories.

Through psychology behaviors can be influenced positively. The psychology major at Rosemont provides students with a selection of courses that constitute a comprehensive view of the current field of psychology.

The sociology program offers students a firm foundation for a variety of careers with three tracks of study. The applied sociology track prepares students for careers as social analysts, interventionists in public service, private consultation, business, or other sectors.

Students will be prepared for graduate studies in Clinical/Sociological/Applied practice programs. The deaf track provides studies with advanced American Sign Language with the knowledge to work in fields involving deafness and issues of deafness.

Knowing another language is to know another culture and be able to communicate with a multitude of different people. Rosemont’s Spanish major provides students with the skills to communicate confidently in both a written and oral form.

All Spanish courses are taught in Spanish, creating effective Spanish speakers. Students will learn the history, arts, literature, and cultures in Spanish, and Spanish speaking countries. The Spanish department faculty who will carefully evaluate a students’ prior instruction determines course placement. Students who demonstrate a competence in a particular skill may omit one or more basic courses.

Rosemont College offers both a Bachelor of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The studio art and design program at Rosemont are intended to educate and train prospective artists and designers.
