Test Credits

Rosemont College awards credit for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations.

  • Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams should be taken before graduating from high school.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for official test results to be sent to the Registrar's Office.
  • Grades are not awarded for test credit and test credit is not reflected in the cumulative Rosemont grade point average.
  • If test credit is awarded and represents a prerequisite for an upper-level course, the student is exempted from the prerequisite course.
  • If students take a course at Rosemont that they received transfer/test credit for, the transfer/test credit will be removed.
  • Test credits are awarded after the student has been accepted to Rosemont College and is applied toward the total number of credits necessary for graduation.  A student with 30 Advanced Placement credits may be granted sophomore standing.
